Living rooms are easy targets for clutter, and a central area in any home<\/strong><\/a>, the room can get messy very easily. Here are five secrets for a less messy living room:<\/p>\n

1. A clutter catcher:
\n\"\" \u00a0<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s always a good idea to keep a basket or a storage bin that you can quickly and easily just throw in some items into. This makes it so much easier to keep the area clean and de-cluttered. Also, we suggest you invest in a storage piece and not use just any basket. This will make it part of your overall design scheme.<\/p>\n

2. Clean your coffee table, every day:
\n\"\"<\/strong>
\nMake cleaning your coffee table a daily routine. Whether its before going to work in the morning, or in the evening, if you stick to a daily routine, the table will maintain its cleanliness.<\/p>\n

3. Hidden storage:<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s nothing that can help with decluttering like hidden storage. Try and integrate that into your furniture \u2013 be it a coffee table, a couch or even your TV unit. There are a number of stylish options you can look for, that will keep your room organized and orderly.<\/p>\n

4. Use multi-functional cabinets and bookcases:
\n\"\"<\/strong>
\nThere are a number of different ways you can use cabinets and bookcases that will help you keep your area de-cluttered. Use some storage bins and baskets within the piece itself, and you\u2019ll be amazed at just how much space you can save!<\/p>\n

5. Clean out:<\/strong>
\nWhile this seems like a no brainer, but enough with the hoarding! Donate and get rid of anything that you are not using, and that has no value to you anymore. This is the first step you should take, and should be done at least one a year (at the very least)!<\/p>\n
