City or Suburb: Factors to Consider

The cities of Bahrain sure have a lot to offer. The hub of offices, homes and nightlife, there’s really nothing you can’t find there. But with the expansion that the country is seeing, more and more people are choosing to look beyond the city limits when it comes to finding their ideal home. Here’s why (and what you should know).

Options:

More and more options are being created for people who are looking for homes outside the cities. Budaiya, Mahooz and Umm Al Hassam are just some of the areas that are well liked and are becoming more and more popular.

Cost:

These neighborhoods and areas that are not located in the main and central cities offer affordable housing. Villas and compounds are especially more affordable in those areas, as are apartments and studios for singles and young professionals. If you’re looking for budget friendly housing then venture out of the city when searching for a home.

The Commute:

While not totally easy and smooth more and more roads and highways have opened up, making it easier to make the daily trip. While traffic can be daunting at rush hour and peak times, the changes to the road and the infrastructure has made it much more bearable.

The Peace and Quite:

While we all love the hustle and bustle of the big city, living in the outskirts will certainly give you some peace and quiet. It’s more of a coastal life in some of these areas which is a lifestyle that a lot of people seek.
