One of the most important things to know about Bahrain is the immigration system and the different types of visas it includes. Whether you are looking to bring a friend or family member from back home for a visit, or a simple business visa, take a look at the different types of visas available in Bahrain:

Tourist Visa:
While some nationalities are exempt from this visa and receive it upon arrival to Bahrain, other nationalities need to obtain a visit visa before entering the country.

Visitor Visa:
This is the top of visa needed for some nationalities that require the sponsorship of a Bahrain, who will apply for the visa on their behalf.

72-hour & Seven-day Visas:
These visas are easily received when entering the country for short business or visit trips. You need a return ticket and a valid passport in order to receive the visa.

Business Visa:
This is for anyone who is coming for business and planning to stay longer than seven days. This must be obtained in your home country prior to arrival in Bahrain.

Work Visa:
These visas are normally valid for 1 to 2 years and are organized by the employer/sponsor in Bahrain for anyone who is seeking employment.

Family Visa:
This if for the immediate family of the person who holds the work visa (residency) and allows for sponsorship of a spouse and children.
